Career
Tom Dockweiler is founder and President of Dockweiler Consultants.
A lifelong south suburban resident, Tom's business career began at a downtown Chicago bank where he rapidly progressed from a commercial lending trainee position to Vice President and Division Manager. It was only 15 years later that Tom joined the Bank of Homewood as the bank's President.
The Bank of Homewood was acquired by the First National Bank of Blue Island and Tom stayed on as President and CEO. He returned to the Bank of Homewood ten years later as its President and CEO. Tom's banking career ended with a 15 year role as Executive Vice President of Standard Bank in Hickory Hills.
All of these banking assignments focused heavily on commercial lending, executive management and helping commercial businesses run successfully through good times and bad.

Personal
Tom and his wife Karen raised three children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as golf, travel, photography and landscaping projects.
Education
Tom's education includes an MBA from the University of Missouri and a graduate banking degree from Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.
Community
His community activities include being coach, manager and umpire for Homewood Baseball, and serving on the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Board and Corporate Council. He is co-founder of Blue Island's Western Avenue Task Force and Chairman of Mainstreet Blue Island, the organization spearheading the successful revitalization of downtown Blue Island. Tom was elected to the Homewood Public School Board (District 153) five times and served a total of 21 years, including 12 years as President.
